Rather than simply saying “the room was dark,” you might say “the room was engulfed in shadows, with only the faintest glimmer of light peeking through the curtains.” By using specific language, you will help your reader to better visualize what you are describing.


Persuasive Writing Style

This type of writing uses logic and reason to support your argument. When using persuasive writing, it is important to be well informed about your topic so that you can persuasively argue your point. Next, provide background information about the topic so that the reader is up to speed. Once the context has been established, present your main argument along with supporting evidence. Finally, refute any possible counterarguments and restate your position. By following these steps, you can write a convincing and persuasive essay on any given topic.


Narrative Writing Style
