I’ve always found solace in the pages of books. From the time I was a little girl, reading wasn’t just a pastime—it was my escape, my safe place, and my window to worlds far beyond my own. Whether it was an epic adventure or a heartfelt story, books gave me something I didn’t know I needed: connection, understanding, and endless possibilities.

That love for books stayed with me as I grew older, but it was more than a passion—it was a calling. One day, I decided to start a book club, hoping to create a space where other book lovers could come together to share their favorite stories and spark meaningful conversations. It wasn’t just about the books; it was about building a community. To my surprise, the book club became so much more than I could have imagined. It became a haven for readers—a place where stories came to life, and people found joy in the magic of words.

As the book club grew, I started thinking about the authors behind the stories we were devouring. Many of them were indie authors whose voices deserved to be heard on a larger scale. I wanted to do more than just read their books; I wanted to support them. So, I began inviting authors to join our discussions and share their journeys. Eventually, I launched a podcast to give them a platform to connect with readers beyond the walls of our book club. It also made me think about my own journey as an author. I remembered the obstacles I faced and the resources I wished had been available to me. That reflection planted a seed in my heart to help other authors navigate their paths. I didn’t want anyone to feel lost or unsupported in their journey.

My passion for books also led me to independent bookstores—the heartbeat of so many communities. I fell in love with these small, locally-owned shops that exuded charm and character. But I also saw the challenges they faced in an industry dominated by bigger players. I wanted to shine a light on these bookstores, championing their importance and encouraging others to support them.

Then came Booktok, a world I initially stumbled upon but quickly fell in love with. It’s a space where readers, authors, and book lovers collide—a place where one heartfelt review can change the trajectory of an author’s career. I dove headfirst into Booktok, sharing my favorite reads and championing indie authors who deserved to be seen. With every review and recommendation, I hoped to connect readers with stories that would resonate with them, just as so many stories have resonated with me.

What started as a simple love of reading has grown into something much bigger than I ever imagined. It’s a mission to uplift authors, support local bookstores, and foster a thriving literary community. Through my book club, podcast, and Booktok presence, I’ve been blessed to see the ripple effects of what can happen when we share our love for books.
